October Empties

I've not posted in forever and I was having a bit of a clearout of my skincare and makeup drawer and thought I'd share a few of the empties I've got through over the summer. I appreciate the blog has been rather hit and miss this year; work kept me busy over lockdown #1 and will probably do the same over #2, which I am not complaining about as I feel very lucky to have a job at all. It has meant though that using a laptop for fun after using one all day is not on the priority list!

I like empties posts and I used to share them quite a lot, so I thought I'd go back to what I know and share the latest! These are all things I've used through the summer and I think when you actually finish a beauty product off, it shows that you have really enjoyed using it, so here's my review!

1. Eyeko Style & Define Brow Gel £18 - since having my brows laminated back in September I no longer spend hours pencilling them in. I use a pomade to define and then brush them up with this tinted gel for a polished look. This is the second tube of this I've used and I love it. It's definitely going on the Christmas list! Find it here.

2. Your Good Skin Blackhead Clearing Scrub £6 - This is the second tube of this I've used as well! I did find it made my skin really soft but I have read that using walnut shells as an exfoliator isn't ideal, so I have actually switched to a liquid exfoliator now. It's an affordable, cruelty free brand you can find in Boots; I also used a dryness rescue cream from the brand which I loved, they're worth a look here.

3. Beauty Pie Super Retinol Eye Cream £7.24 (£60 to non-members)  - I've got a whole post coming up about my Beauty Pie membership and why I've downgraded (but not left!) and this eye cream is one of the reasons. Super lightweight, hydrating and definitely kicked my crows feet in the pants. Find out more here.

4. The Ordinary Hyularonic Acid 2% + B5 £5 - I've only recently discovered The Ordinary (well, I'll actually say rediscovered as I have dabbled in their foundations before, but never skincare) and I was pleasantly surprised with this, the stand out purchase from a few different things I tried. The thought of putting an acid on my face is terrifying but actually this one was a hydrator, plumper and smoother and worked perfectly under my daily moisturiser. 10/10 will rebuy!

I would love to hear of your most used and loved skincare and beauty products! I am pretty certain I will repurchase 3 of the 4 I've listed here, when you find things that work well it's such a win!
