The last two days have been beautifully warm and sunny, which was nice beacuse yesterday was my birthday! Today is grey and chilly again but just looking at these pics from heatwave central takes me right back to those long summer days. I don't often buy shorts because in the UK there's so little opportunity to wear them - they are normally reserved for holidays only. However, this season I picked up this pair fairly inexpensively and I'm glad I did as they have been a great wardrobe workhorse - I actually swapped these out for a pair of jeans (!) im my Summer 10 x 10 wardrobe as it was way too hot for denim - I'm not sure what I was thinking!
This top was a great buy too. It's cotton so has been really cool and easy to wear over the summer and I love the cut of it. The beading adds a splash of colour too, and it's now in the sale for £4 here!
