Spring Look #010: The Lace Skirt

Wearing: Vintage watch and jewellery Project Social T tee shirt Vintage belt Topshop shoes Hermes Constance bag  Lace skirt c/o Quiz

It's almost time to swap over the spring and summer capsule wardrobes, and I have bought a couple of new things for the summer capsule which I couldn't wait to try. It's definitely feeling more summery-even though the weather hasn't been great, it has definitely been warmer and it's time to embrace bare legs and peep toe shoes.

I was kindly sent this skirt to style by Quiz clothing who have a really cool 'Girls of Summer' campaign running at the moment. Whether you are looking for a summer frock or a snazzy jumpsuit, they have lots of lovely options to consider. I have been looking for a lace skirt for ages as I've been really wanted to try that whole smart/casual thing, with a formal pencil skirt like this worn with a soft grey marl tee. I think it works-I added a vintage belt and tan shoes to give the look a bit of my quirkiness and I like it very much.

The peep toe boots are from Topshop and have been on my wish list for some time. I've not bought a lot for the summer capsule, but I have been looking for a specific item for ages-nude, peep toe shoe boots. These ones were in the sale-they've now sold out but these ones are similar.

Investing in one key piece of formal wear can be so handy for the summer season. Unlike a dress, you can instantly make a skirt more casual-you could add converse for a sporty look or flatform sandals for a more edgy take on the style, or of course wear it the way it was intended with a matching crop top or chic blouse tucked in. Check out the full range online at Quiz.
