Love Me Beauty subscription box March
It was only recently that I reviewed my February Love Me Beauty box and I have really been enjoying using some of the products from that, but to call March's offering a 'box' would fail to do it justice as it actually arrived in a lovely zip top makeup pouch this month. This is so much better than the normal cardboard boxes that the products normally come in, if only because it fits through the letterbox! It's also a really useful item to have so thanks Love Me Beauty!
On the other side, though, I didn't find the selections in the boutique were as comprehensive as they usually are. Last month I got some great makeup products, but this month there was very little makeup to choose from and an awful lot of the stuff I never select-jewellery and hairbands, etc. I actually didn't spend my credits immediately but waited a couple of weeks to see what else would come in, and I'm glad I did because I've chosen some great skincare this month.
The tiny yellow sponge is a beauty blender, suitable for applying concealer. I was actually looking to get something like this because currently I use my fingers to pat on concealer to cover undereye circles, so this is great as an alternative applicator. I have used a beauty blender before (reviewed here) but I always go back to my Real Techniques buffing brush for my foundation, I just find it works better for me.
Moving on to the products, I chose items from brands I knew and had used before this time. I have used Monu body oils in the past and loved them, so when I saw the Relaxing Bali Body Oil I added it to my basket straight away! This is a really lovely oil, which has a citrusy scent and leaves skin feeling super soft and moisturised.
I was intrigued by the Monu Skin Perfector, which I believe is like a primer for the skin, to be applied before foundation. It leaves skin smoothes and prepped for makeup and I thought I'd give it a go as primers are something I am really enjoying using at the moment, I really think they help my foundation to last and also to apply more neatly. I also can't wait to try the Flash Relax Mask, which I believe is a brightening and tightening treatment to help relax the skin.
Finally, I chose the Renu Extra Firming Lip and Eye Active Lift, which is a targeted product to help firm and lift skin around the lip and eye areas. I am 32, so I am well aware of skin ageing and the loss of elasticity that affects the skin, so hopefully this will go some way to help combat that!
