I touched on some of the Capsule Wardrobe winners and losers in this post and here I talked about things that I felt had worked really well in the winter capsule. In this post, I'm going to be looking at some items that I love, but just didn't wear much or at all in the capsule this season. There weren't many, but I thought it would still be good to talk about what they were and why I didn't wear them.

This Crumpet cashmere biker jacket was a competition prize and whilst I adore it, I didn't feel it worked very well with many of the other pieces in this capsule. I did put it on a couple of times but ended up swapping it out for something else, which is a shame as I hoped I would get some wear from it. I actually think it might be better for the spring or summer capsules as I can wear it more as a lightweight jacket rather than a layering piece.

I'm not really sure why this Whistles loop print shirt didn't get much love over the duration of the winter capsule. I did wear it a couple of times, but tended to pick a plain black silk shirt over this printed one. It's very long, so I find it looks best with a skinny trousers and I just didn't get the wear that I'd hoped I would from it.

Likewise, this J Crew woollen top was something I was sure would be a hit in the winter capsule but there were always other things I reached for. I think this piece looks best worn alone, and it was mainly too cold over the winter to wear this without a cardi or jumper over it. I think it would look ace with distressed denim so perhaps this is a piece to try again over the warmer months.

Finally, I am really disappointed that I didn't get the chance to wear this Topshop Boutique silk top. Again, this was a weather thing-it's a very boxy, oversized top and doesn't look right with anything over the top of it, so it would need to be warm to wear it because it's only got 3/4 length sleeves and is a lightweight silk fabric. Definitely something I think I'll wear more during the spring and summer months.
