Wearing: Dress c/o New Look Vintage blouse Whistles boots ASOS coat & hat Longchamp bag
Dresses are something I rarely wear, but the part of my interest in a capsule wardrobe included the ability that it would have to make my clothes work harder. Even so, I have only a couple of dresses in the autumn capsule, as my style is inherently more based around separates. However, a dress is such an easy wear; and a simple shift shape like this one can be easily worn smartly or casually.
This navy cord one from New Look is a great basic that I just know will be super versatile. I wore it here with a silk blouse and boots for a lunch; I would also wear it with a rollneck and loafers or a super soft tee and ballet pumps in warmer weather. It's a really useful piece to base a lot of looks around, and the fabric and colourway fit perfectly within the styling of my autumn capsule. Buy it here.
My leopard print ASOS coat has been somewhat of a staple and I really like that it goes so well with so many different pieces. I think it also helps that this autumn has been fairly mild so far and a light jacket is enough to keep me warm!
