Phase Eight Holiday Wardrobe

Phase Eight Holiday Essentials

When I was asked by Phase Eight to create a 5 piece 'dream' holiday wardrobe from their gorgeous range of pieces, I knew that the challenge wouldn't be creating my moodboard, but narrowing down what to choose! As well my readers know, whilst I love a pretty dress, I didn't want to simply pick five gorgeous dresses to showcase here; whilst that would have been a valid entry of course, mine, I decided,  had to feature a rather more 'capsule wardrobe' aesthetic because I think it really helps in terms of keeping your packing to a minimum!

I was drawn to these lovely Lexi skinny jeans mainly due to their beautiful colour, a pastel seafoam green. They are so chic and I love the way this pale blue-green looks with both white and gold; imagine them with this pretty Penny pintucked blouse which, in it's whimsical linen fabric, perfectly compliments the structure of the jeans. Paired with some gold gladiator sandals this whole look is elegant and chic but at the same time, completely holiday appropriate for a walk in the city or along the coast.

How could I consider leaving out my all time favourite top of all, the breton tee. I love the Riviera chic that a simple breton provides, and this cotton stripe boatneck one is no exception. Wear it with the jeans, a wedged espadrille and slick of red lipstick, not to mention saucer-sized sunnies, for a bit of St.Tropez style-stealing.  A must-have in any holiday capsule collection!

A multitasking accessory or two can really widen your options when it comes to holiday packing. A statement necklace in a warm toned metal will work with just about everything you can think of; smartening up a classic breton stripe or adding a bit of boho edge to a linen blouse. Likewise a scarf is my ultimate travel essential; wrapped round a hotel pillow it provides a bit of home comfort or lightly spritzed with a favourite fragrance it transforms into a shawl, a hair wrap or simply an extra layer to add on if needed. This ladder tassle scarf in it's muted tones works beautifully within this palette and the luxurious ladder effect adds interest.

I hope you like my choices, I found it an absolute pleasure to plan my holiday wardrobe with Phase Eight and there were certainly no shortage of ideas on their website, why don't you take a look?
