Cold Shoulder

Well it seems as though summer has arrived, and with it the opportunity to finally get my legs out for more than the odd day. Luckily I've had the week off work so I have been enjoying Wimbledon and my balcony in equal measure!

This season I've been enjoying wearing quite loose fitting dresses which, I think, worn with a pretty ballerina flat from Spartoo looks effortlessly chic. It's the French influence again; I love that kind of easygoing vibe in summer dressing; who wants to look trussed up like a Christmas turkey when it's sweltering out? Not me!

I bought this dress from ASOS and it's still available here for just over £20, the material is very thick and great quality jersey and the 'cold shoulder' detail, whilst something I've never really gone in for much before, somehow really works with this dress shape. I love it. I put it on my Instagram and so many people commented on it so I'd definitely recommend it, it's lovely. The only thing I'd say is to size down as it's quite generously sized.

These French Sole ballerinas are my footwear holy grail; not quite as comfortable (yet) as my divine (and now impossible to find, anywhere) La Tenace ballerinas but they are getting there. They are so classic and so chic, and I adore them. So much so, that I also own them in the leopard print version. Oops.

My hair looks a bit of a mess here but this is how it goes when I don't straighten it; I chuck some surf spray on it and let it do it's own thing which I think is important in the summer, especially when I don't need it to be straight, it's nice to give it a break.

What have you been wearing during the hot weather?

XO Amie
