French Sole

French Sole Henrietta pumps from Spartoo

A couple of posts ago I mentioned how I was on the look out for the perfect pair of black ballet shoes . I wore a pair to absolute death last year and I've since been unable to find a suitable replacement. My previous pair were a black suede but I must admit I've fallen for these gorgeous quilted leather numbers from French Sole.

The style of these is called "Henrietta" and I already have a pair of these in a woven orange upper which I love but I do find they are quite low cut at the front and I have to confess to prefering the higher cut, old lady shape because I think they are more flattering on the foot, and also they are much more comfortable to wear. However in the absence of a better alternative, these will certainly be going in my basket!

The Henrietta style comes in loads of different colourways so if Chanel-esque quilts aren't your thing, there's bound to be something else to suit!

What's your classic go-to shoe? I absolutely live in flat shoes in the summer time...with a mini and bare legs, it's the chicest, easiest look to wear every day!
