Dress c/o Chi Chi, Vintage Faux Fur Jacket, Vintage Jewellery, Urban Outfitters Cat Face watch, Charles Jourdan vintage shoes
I was recently very kindly offered the opportunity to choose a dress from the Chi Chi Clothing website. Chi Chi is not a brand I'd heard of before, but there were some really pretty and on-trend dresses on offer so I was really spoilt for choice. I deliberated for ages before deciding on the Artura dress, which is probably the sparkliest, frothiest, girliest dress I could have chosen! Don't get me wrong, I love an LBD for a party, but there was something about this little number that really appealed to my feminine style.
Straight away I knew how I'd style it: vintage all the way! It's such a versatile colour and whilst the fit makes it look ever so princessy, with the full skirt and plunging back, I felt it was the perfect style for me. I love the high slash neck, which with my meagre bust, is the perfect shape, but the mini length skirt adds a girlish edge and all the frills and the plisse pleating just compounds this. The sparkle isn't too OTT, despite being quite obvious; the waist-whittling jewelled panel makes it festive without being too spangly. All it needed to make it my own was the addition of a pair of vintage navy Charles Jourdan sandals and my fave winter warmer, this faux fur coat snagged from eBay for under a tenner. What do you think?
Now I just need a few Chrimbo parties to attend!
