Orla Kiely x Uniqlo

I was really gutted to miss the last Orla Kiely for Uniqlo collaboration. I love Kiely's prints and the colours are always on the money for my style. I'm not a big t-shirt wearer but I have fallen rather in love with these tunic dresses that have resulted from the AW12 collaboration with Uniqlo. The pieces launch on 6th September and I have earmarked the navy dress for starters; at £19.90 they are significantly cheaper than the (equally as beautiful) main line and so I will probably treat myself to one; also as part of the collection there are hoodies, long sleeved tees, and scarves all in Kiely's signature prints. I adore the more subtle print work; the "stems" print is probably one of the more famous ones but I love the more minimally or colour tones prints too. The shape of the dress is super pretty and I love the bracelet length sleeves and the peter pan collar. It's sad to be thinking about Autumn already but it does creep round, my birthday on September 3rd always, for me, signifies the beginning of Autumn and the changing of the seasons. With ballet flats for the last dregs of summer or socks and ankle boots when the weather cools down, these dresses are the standout  pieces of this collaboration and I hope I can lay my hands on it this time!
