Vintage Dress Take 2

Wearing: vintage peter pan collar dress, vintage belt, Primark moccasins

Wahhh it was another scorcher today which meant on with the suncream and out into the garden from first light. The best thing about the heat is the face that I can wear all my little thin vintage dresses which I rarely wear because I am always chilly-somehow they don't look right with cardigans or tights so it has to be hot, hot, hot to wear them. So I was happy to see the sun again today.
This dress is one I've had for ages, I think I bought it from eBay for a few pounds (definitely less than a fiver.) I love the faded floral print-it reminds me of the colours of the wall of my childhood bedroom. Lovely. It fits so nicely too-it's cinched in at the waist so I accentuate this with a knotted belt and the peter pan collar means that no accessories are really needed.
I was a bit unsure which shoes to wear until I fished out these Primark suede moccasins which I thought pulled the look together better than sandals or flip flops. I spent the afternoon trudging round an amazing jumble sale with my friend so they were definitely a good choice. We went to a Jubilee jumble and it was like going back in time-most items were under £1 and the old dears that were running the show (one chap was even compere-ing the event) seemed to enjoy it as much as the bargain hunters did. There weren't many 'young un's' there apart from my friend and I so we had a good old root through and came away with some bargains-my friend Claire laid her hands on books and crockery whilst I truimphed with 2 vintage suitcases, (£2 each) a jacket (1.50) and silk blouse for 50 pence and a ridiculous t shirt for Age which cost 50p too. I can't wait to go back again another time; we didn't stop to sample the delicious looking homemade cakes and sandwiches so we must be sure to do so next time! I'll try and get some pictures up soon!
Hope you've had a wonderful day, whatever you've been up to. And thanks for all the lovely comments you've been leaving me, I do try to reply to every one and check out your blogs too!
