A trend I have noticed bubbling under at the moment is that of the trophy jacket. That is to say, a jacket that is more of a 'statement' than 'throwover.' And this is mine. I bought it from Zara last year in the sale and I love it, it's very "look at me" with the boucle fabric and leather trims, I sometimes feel the exaggerated shoulders are a little bit dated (I bought it at the height of Balmania!) but it's a lovely jacket over all and I've worn it a lot. Today I paired it with my very minimal Gap jersey midi, which I chucked a chiffon shirt over and also my studded pumps which I meant to keep for the weekend but couldn't wait to wear!
