Autumn Picks from Sarenza

I think I should rename my blog 'She Wore Shoes' actually because all I ever seem to post about these days is shoes, shoes and more shoes. I can't help it; I've always been much more a shoe than a bag girl (though I do love a good bag too) and my shoe collection seriously rivals Carrie Bradshaw's. I have loads of pairs for every occasion, picked up over the years since I started wearing heels in my early teens. I wish I still had my first ever pair but sadly I gave them to a friend during a shoe swapping frenzy (my friends and I who wore the same size would often swap shoes around our group as we could never afford new ones!) But even though I no longer have the first ever pair, I've built up a large collection of others-some new, some vintage, some gifted, some thrifted, but all adored and special in their own way!
I'm not always on the lookout for new styles but now and again I do stumble across those that I simply can't pass up, and so much the better when I find many fabulous ones all in the same place. Step forward (mind the pun!) Sarenza, a website that I've only recently discovered but will certainly be bookmarking to visit again and again....over 300 styles of shoes and bags all in one easy to search location.
Despite the unseasonable weather of late I can't help but be drawn to styles which I want to wear with my autumn looks and this season I'm turning to a sleeker, chicer, grown up vibe with just a kick of trend sprinkled in amongst it. So, I'll be nabbing the Jeffrey Campbell studded slipper flats to wear with my black drainpipes and a silky, billowing blouse; leaning on the androgynous and also fetish trends, these babies will work, work, work all through autumn and winter and are comfy enough to stomp around in all day long. With my pencil skirt and Mad Men-esque vintage knits, I'll need a decent court to take the look up a notch, and I'll be looking no further than the glamourised metallic leather beauties by Amelie Pichard. Chic, sophisticated and in deep jewel tones, they'll look just as epic with leather leggings for a sleek finish that's as high quality as their shine.
Tapping into the heritage trends, I'm certainly going to be reaching for a skinny cargo in camel tones to wear with a vintage tweed jacket for a superluxe daytime look. Upping the ante even more will be these beautiful L K Bennett leopard print shoe boots which are just divine. The almond toe, slim platform and slender heel make this boot an instant classic, which can be worn and re-worn year after year. The same can be said of the Ernesto Esposito gem-encrusted ballet flat; I mean, every girl needs a simple pump and this one brings a hit of sparkle to the simplest outfit. A pair of black skinnies and a grey tee is instantly elevated by the addition of these gorgeous shoes.
What do we make of the glitter trend that's set to take over during the run up to Christmas? We've all seen the glittery ankle boots doing the rounds on the high street, but how delicious (and sophisticated) are these Dune peeptoe heels? Recipe for a failsafe party look: These shoes+LBD+Statement jewels=a clear winner!
What do you make of these picks? What will you be buying as part of your Autumn footwear hitlist?
All shoes available from Sarenza (but leave some for me!)
