Putting the Boot in.....

Un Matin d'Ete
I’ve recently discovered a fab footwear website called Spartoo which is great for me, knowing how much I love shoes! I thought it would be nice to share some of my picks from it with you. Although summer is fast approaching, it’s still seeming to drag its heels a little bit and sometimes it is just too cold for sandals.

Paul & Joe Sister

I have found that a decent, simple ankle boot is a trans-seasonal style saviour, and Spartoo have a fantastic selection. Here’s my pick of their best….
Tropeziennes
They would all look epic teamed with skinny jeans or floral dresses now, and then will make the perfect festival footwear combined with the perennial summer favourite, cut off denim shorts! I will definitely be rocking mine this way!

Atelier Voisin
These boots combine all the necessary features of the most perfect footwear…simple shapes, neutral colours, blocky heels (spindly heels just aren’t going to cut it for SS11, it’s gotta be a wedge or a block) and basic styling. In short, the ideal base for any outfit. Don’t believe me? Try them out…you are going to live in these boots….

Sixty Seven
They are all crafted from the best quality materials and are the sort of boots that will just get better with age. You could imagine Kate Moss pulling on a pair to trudge round a field in Glastonbury and then dusting them off to stomp the Brick Lane vintage stores paired with a summery dress. The more bashed up and creased they get with love, wear and age, the better they'll look!

Tropeziennes
Importantly, I think one of the best things about this selection of boots is the range of colours. Boots don't have to be black or tan-though these are (obviously) fab staple colours to have! I love the creamy bone colour and the deep marine blue colour of the top pair and the pair above respectively. And I am just completely in love with the tan western-styled boots and am adding them to my wishlist as we speak!
Different shapes of boot are also key-I've already covered western, which is always a key trend for summer and the fringed pair by Tropeziennes just tick all the trend boxes. However a less obviously styled pair, such as the blue Tropeziennes pair above or the chunky heeled silky black leather Sixty Seven numbers, will be wardrobe staples for years to come. The Paul and Joe Sister Biker inspired pair are also anything but basic, but will lend a firm foundation to all your looks throughout the season.
Boot buying can be a tricky business because you want to make sure that you are investing in the right pair. Spartoo make it easy by having a huge selection (or maybe that makes it harder!) but you're sure to find masses to choose from so if you have something in mind, it's easy! Or, should you just need some inspiration on the shapes, styles and colours of the moment, head on over! Click here
