Summer Dress

Enjoying the summer weather was the perfect excuse to take some photos for the blog and get out in the sun at the same time. It was so hot that I was able to wear clothes that I would usually save for holidays and I loved it! I was also chuffed to be able to start using this vintage straw bag I bought a couple of months ago; somehow it seems a bit strange to use a bag as summery as this when the weather is anything but scorching!

This dress is lovely, I actually bought it at the end of last summer but it never got warm enough to wear it, so I was pleased to start getting some wear from it now. It's still available here. I have worn it both as a bardot style and pulled up on my shoulders. I'm fairly short so I do find when I wear it as a bardot it looks a bit long on me (or cuts off at my worst point which is on my knees) and so I've tended to wear it more on the shoulder. The only downside of it is that it is a crepe style fabric which creases quite badly!

Of course I can't help wear these flatforms again which I know I wear all the time, but they are so comfortable and I find the ankle strap really flattering on the leg. I don't really wear heels during the summer unless they are fairly low blocky heels, I prefer flat sandals or flatforms as I always get blisters (gross and painful!)
