New In: Aesop

Aesop hand wash here and hand balm here

Aesop is a brand I've heard of, of course (I think most beauty bloggers have!) but I've never actually tried them. Partly because of the price - it's not cheap - and also because I often find with higher priced brands, I never know where to start. What if I bought something and hated it?! The struggle is real, so it was a real treat to be given a couple of items as a gift. It meant I could try the brand without committing to products which I didn't know would work for me.

One of the items I got was a hand wash, which sounds fairly unexciting but as hand washes go, this is probably the best one I've ever used. Named Reverence Aromatique, it contains bergamot rind to purify and cleanse, and doesn't dry my hands out like traditional hand washes can do. It also has finely milled pumice in the mixture, giving hands a gentle exfoliating massage when used. I love the clean, fresh scent of this and the way it leaves my hands feeling soft and smooth after use.

To follow this, I'll reach for the Resurrection Aromatique hand balm. Packed with a blend of sweet almond and coconut oils, it also contains rosemary and shea butter to soften skin, hands and cuticles. It's refreshing scent with notes of mandarin, lavender and rosemary leaf is a joy and the skin is left thoroughly hydrated. The cream absorbs extremely quickly and I also use it on my heels as well as a nourishing foot balm.

If you're looking for a really luxury treat for your hands, or a lovely gift for a friend or relative, I would highly recommend this brand and these products.
