Review: Kiehl's Skincare

I attended a Kiehl's event back in August and it was a brilliant one - a group of bloggers getting together to try products, learn about the brand and even take part in a quiz, a proper old school blog style event! I had the best time, and was very kindly given a goody bag of products to take away and try. In the midst of my house move I didn't really get much of a chance to try them out as I wanted to give them a proper review and I thought it would be beneficial to use the products together, rather than independently.

The Ultra Facial Cream is one of the brands best sellers and I can see why. I used this in place of my normal moisturiser and it's super smoothing and hydrating, without feeling heavy or greasy. I used this morning and night as the final step of my skincare routine and I loved using this.

I enjoyed using the Eye Opening Serum I think most of all of the products I tried. I used it in the 'crows feet' areas around my eyes and even with just a couple of weeks use I noticed a big difference, in how my skin looked and felt. The Line Reducing Concentrate was also brilliant and I focused this on the areas that I felt needed it, such as laughter and frown lines, to help to smooth them out. The textures of both products were lovely - smooth and non greasy but without that silicone feeling that some intensive skincare products have.

The Re-Texturising Serum Concentrate was another fabulous product which I used underneath my moisturiser. It was almost like a primer and made the perfect base for moisturiser and foundation; I know there's discussion about how best to apply serums, either before or after moisturisers, but I prefer to put mine on before as this seems to work best for me.

These products aren't cheap, but I was impressed with how long the sample sizes lasted; you don't need a huge amount of the product and it spreads out on the skin nicely. I would definitely look to purchase some full sized items, in particular the Ultra Facial Cream and the Eye Opening Serum which I think would be great to add in to my daily skincare routine.
