New In: July

Sunglasses Accessorize, short sleeved blouse Betty London c/o Spartoo, ruffle blouse Topshop

My July purchases have been rather underwhelming only because I feel like I'm not lacking on anything in my wardrobe at the moment. I've got a good balance of work and casual wear, and I seem to have enough seasonal pieces to see me through - I have had my summer holiday this year so it doesn't seem worth buying any more very high summer things, as I have enough to see me through the rest of the season.
I did pick up this lovely Betty London blouse with a Spartoo voucher I had, and I have been loving wearing it to work tucked into high waisted, wide legged trousers. I also bought this blouse in the Topshop sale - it was £10 but I was returning something and so exchanged it for this. I like the style of it, but I am not mad keen on the fabric - polyester, something I usually won't touch - but the print and the lightweight cut are ideal for the office, where it's usually about 20 below due to the air conditioning. A pro point is that it washes up excellently - I spilt pasta sauce on it on the first wear (whyyyyy does that always happen) but thankfully I chucked it in the machine and it came out as good as new. If it had been a cotton or silk top, it would have been a different story, I'm sure!

I've had a bit of a sunglasses fail this month too as I lost the screw from my favourite vintage pair, and my other vintage pair are just too oversized and a bit big for my face. So these ones were a bit of an impulse purchase, I got them in the Accessorize 70% off sale and so they were around £3, which isn't too bad. And they are definitely more on trend than my vintage ones!

XO Amie
