Top 3 shoes you need this summer with EGO

Ria slip on flats £24.99 // Lena denim sliders £19.99 // Natalie flatforms £29.99 all c/o EGO Shoes

When the weather gets warmer and thoughts turn to summer wardrobes, one of my favourite things to do is pack away my ankle boots and get out my summer shoedrobe. There are always a few key styles I reach for - gladiator sandals and ballet flats being favourites - but there are also some new season purchases to be made, and if you are considered, you can buy just three key styles that will work with all of your favourite looks over the summer months. Here are my top picks.

Gucci, Celine and Acne all sent backless mules down the runway and the high street has followed suit. Whether you prefer heels or flats, an open back is the way forward for shoes this summer. Eschewing the ever popular snaffle bit or fur lined options, these Ria slip ons are decadently finished in jewel hued fabric and will work with shredded stonewashed denim and a white blouse as an easy way to work print, colour and high fashion into a daytime look. Shoe game = strong.

Sliders are going nowhere - hot for a couple of seasons, if you want a change from the sporty, moulded styles that are stores are awash with, choose something less flashy, more classy. This distressed denim Lena pair are perfect to wear with cut off shorts or midi dresses, adding an element of Sports Luxe without resorting to foam footbeds or plastic straps.

Following on from past season successes, the flatform is an easy fashion win. Chunky and stompy, pair with a cami slip dress or awkward length, wide cropped trouser for an edgy and playful look. The beauty of this style of shoe is that they add height without compromising on comfort - fashion and practicality = double win. The espadrille detail on this Natalie pair make them perfect for summer.
