The Western Boot

Western boots from New Look

I think my sale bargain of the spring has to be these New Look leather and suede western boots which I found in my local branch for just £5! I hadn't wanted to buy any more ankle boots this season; I have 4 pairs that I wore on rotation throughout the winter (Whistles patent, Finery snakeskin, Topshop marble heel, River Island leopard print) so I definitely didn't think I needed any more pairs but I couldn't leave these ones behind for the price! I was a bit nervous about them, as the toes are quite pointed and I usually opt for a square or almond toe but they are actually really comfortable to wear, and the heel is the perfect height for everyday.

There looks to be a resurgence in the whole 'western' styling thing as a trend for the winter, which is fine with me as I can just dig out my checked shirts and bolo ties from a few years back. I actually had a pair of cowboy boots at one point, I used to wear them religiously way back in the early 00's but I don't feel that I can do so anymore without looking like I'm in fancy dress, so this shoe style takes on the trend but in a less obvious way!

Unfortch this pair is now sold out online (they also came in gold leather which I considered for about 5 minutes before re-thinking the wear I'd actually get from them!) but I think these Glamorous ones (in the sale!)  and these ASOS ones (just so cool) are good alternatives.
