Navy & Leopard Print

Wearing: Whistles coat (last season, similar here) Vintage scarf (similar here) Vintage jumper (similar here) ASOS 1940s jeans (here) River Island boots (here)

I haven't posted an outfit in such a long time and I feel I've fallen victim to the wintry weather. Now that it's dark at about 4pm, Adrian isn't able to take my pictures after work, and all too often the weekends are so grey and damp that it's just not possible. Ah, #bloggerproblems!

Anyway, I finally got around to organising some snaps and I am well into my wintry wardrobe. I dug out my favourite vintage scarf which I picked up at a kilo sale earlier in the year, and this beige granny chic jumper that I bought from my dear friend Vix. I have been looking for a pair of 'smart' jeans for months; I thought I'd cracked it with these Tophop Boutique ones but I ended up returning them as they were just too thin. ASOS came to the rescue in the end with these 1940's jeans - high waisted and the perfect shade of indigo, they go from work to play with ease.

I think my buy of the season has to be these leopard print boots which I picked up with some vouchers in River Island. I love the square toe and velvety finish. They are of the moment, but I think they definitely have classic potential. They are really comfortable especially because the heel isn't too high and whilst block heels are in fashion now, I would still pick these over a stiletto even if they weren't!

This sort of outfit is so me, I love the colours and the mix of prints, and despite it not being the brightest or most colourful look, I just adore the simple cuts and muted tones. I always try to add some interest with a print, and you can certainly mix up prints as well, I think, if you keep within the same spectrum of colours.
