Throw c/o Rooi, printed throw Urban Outfitters, all other items vintage
Much as I don't really like saying good bye to summer, (and with any luck, I won't have to, for a few more weeks at least!) there are some nice things about autumn. In particular, the colour palette is just my cup of tea; warm tones like mustard and khaki sit so nicely with dark wooden furniture and cooler cream and grey shades.
I was contacted by home furnishings company Rooi who kindly sent me a throw to feature on the blog. I picked this grey and chartreuse one by Malini, and it's just lovely. It's a really soft, open knitted weave and looks so lovely with my existing furnishings. It's a great way to add a bit of colour and texture to a room, and an inexpensive way of making current decor look a little updated.
Not only can a lovely soft throw update the look of a room, it's also functional, too. I like to keep one folded over the back of a chair or sofa for cooler autumn evenings, if I want an extra layer to wrap around my shoulders whilst I'm working or relaxing. The Malini throw from Rooi is quite lightweight so it's suitable for this purpose too.
