Something that is always in my shoedrobe, particularly for summer, is a decent pair of espadrilles. I don't know if it's because they're such a seasonal shoe, but they don't get as much love as I think they deserve, because they are so comfortable and easy to wear, whether you go for a wedge style or a classic slip on.
I had a browse on Spartoo when I was thinking about picking up a pair for this season and there is an extensive range on the site. I love the simplicity of a slip on pair, they are more popular than ever thanks to the Chanel effect and they can be worn with rolled denim or slip dresses for a multitude of looks to suit all styles.
Wedge espy's have a bit of a different vibe and, if not chosen carefully, can be a little middle aged; I try to choose a wedge that isn't too high and avoid anything glittery to steer clear of a Sloane-on-holiday effect. I like more of the classic French style, with ankle ties or a simple strap, worn with denim cut offs or girlfriend jeans.
