On Sunday, I spent the day being treated at the beautiful Harington's Hotel in Bath. A boutique hotel with a big heart, centrally located in the beautiful city of Bath, the hotel is a charming warren of bespoke rooms and beautiful reception and dining settings, even boasting an outdoor hot tub!

On arrival, we took our seats in the plush foyer and enjoyed delicious hot chocolates and tasty canapes. Greeted by Peter, who owns the hotel with his wife, he told us a little about the background of the property, which was named after local landowner and Godson of Queen Elizabeth 1, Sir John Harington. Harington was the inventor of the first flushable toilet, and this little known fact is used as a focal point for some of the decor of the hotel, with cushions and wall prints utilising imagery of coins in a reference to the saying 'spend a penny!'

After being treated with food and drinks, we were taken on a proper tour of the hotel, viewing several of the beautiful rooms which are decorated in an eclectic and elegant manner by Peter's wife, Melissa. Each room follows a colour scheme and scatter cushions refer to the street on which the Hotel is located. The rooms are tastefully decorated with en suite facilities and homely touches such as personalised notes and welcome cupcakes!

After the tour, we were then shown several apartments that are also owned buy the hotel. Perfect for a longer stay or for a larger group, these beautiful homes from home are decorated in a similar manner to the hotel and boast a relaxing retreat in the centre of the bustling city. Similarly to the hotel, guests are greeted with personal touches on arrival such as bottles of wine and hampers in the kitchen to enjoy.

Following the conclusion of the tour, we headed back to the hotel and enjoyed amazing treats from Charlotte Brunswick chocolates and Alara Wholefoods, and of course more delicious hot chocolates! We then had a chance for some downtime, chatting with other bloggers and even the opportunity to jump into the hotel hot tub if we so wished!

Lush Cosmetics set up their own spa in one of the rooms, and we were able to enjoy a relaxing hand massage whilst we viewed some of their best selling items and heard about all the luxurious treatments that their Bath Spa store offer. I have since purchased one of the items that I was able to try out as it was just so lovely-you can see more on that on my Instagram, as well as many more photographs from the day.

After our treatments, it was into the dining room for high tea. Beautifully presented and typically English, platters groaned under the weight of freshly baked scones, finger sandwiches and delicious cakes. Attentive staff meant there were always plenty of pots of tea to wash down the food, and it was time to head home far too quickly.

I had such a lovely day at Harington's Hotel; I would thoroughly recommend it if you are considering visiting the Bath or Bristol area as a delightful place to stay.
If you'd like to find out more about the hotel and the facilities they offer, you can visit their website.

XO Amie
