BT London x Aurelie Chadaine
I'm such a sucker for a decent collab, and when any part of the design team is French, I am even more keen. I have been a big fan of the Betty London brand sold on Spartoo for a few years now; the shoes are affordable, trend led and well made, and always attract compliments. To see that the brand has paired up with French designer Aurelie Chadaine was a thrill and I couldn't wait to investigate the collection.
It's a very small, capsule collection consisting of handbags and some shoe spats. I love the idea of the spats, in leopard print or stingray leather; you simply thread them on to your shoes and they totally transform the look! They are also reversible so if leopard print isn't your bag, you can flip them over and wear the plain side.
I really love the cute chain strap clutches in this collection. They are simple and chic, as French designs tend to be, with a practicality as well as a wearability about them. They open in an envelope style and again reference the luxury fabrics of leopard and stingray. I think they look much more expensive than they actually are!
These pieces would also make really lovely presents; who wouldn't want to receive a new handbag at Christmas time? The spats would also be really good if you were unsure of someones shoe size, but knew that they loved shoes!
What do you think of the collection?
