Fashion maths: The party edition #2

Kumiko faux fur coat (similar here) Sequin tee (similar here) Helena track trousers (here) avril courts (similar here) all Whistles

For the second installment of my partywear capsule, I wanted to showcase how much separates work in my wardrobe. For a lot of women, buying a dress is a key investment for the party season, but I found that for me, a snazzy top works as well with my more low-key style. I love a decent peg trouser, and always have done, and these Helena crepe track pants bring a bit of edge to what could be a fairly smart look. I've worn these trousers so much, not just for the festive season, but due to their lightweight nature they are great for spring and summer too.

The coat and shoes I have already talked about more in depth in this post, but I also wanted to include this amazing sequinned tee. This is a very partywear orientated piece but would also be smart enough to wear to work just before Christmas as it's very chic without being to over the top! I love the muted colours of the sequins (which are sparkly notwithstanding!) and the slouchy shape of the top is unexpected for the style which definitely ups the cool factor!

This would be a really easy go-to look for a casual party and is perfectly festive without being gaudy. I love it!
