Autumn look #007: The cropped jeans

Wearing: Jeans c/o White Stuff (similar here) Whistles coat (similar here) Whistles jumper (similar here) Monki hat (similar here) River Island loafers (here) Longchamp bag (here)

Cropped jeans may have been considered a strange choice for an autumn capsule wardrobe, but I've got considerable wear out of this pair. I about 5'3" tall so I don't think these were intended to be ankle crackers; on the model on the website they are worn somewhere at mid-calf but I really like them rolled down and worn this way. They aren't tapered but more of a straight leg which just makes them really wearable, in my opinion. I also have them in ecru and would thoroughly recommend them for quality and fit.

The leopard print coat so integral to my autumn capsule has been swapped out with the onset of more wintery weather for this wool one from Whistles. I love the length of this coat, and the smartness it brings to jeans and a cashmere jumper. It's also quite masculine which I really like, it's easy to make a feminine look more androgynous by throwing it over insouciantly.

I am aware that all of the capsule wardrobe outfits I've posted have almost without exception involved jeans, and this is because most of my blog looks are photographed in my downtime. I don't wear denim to work, and I have lots of other looks which I will try to incorporate into the blog at some point. For now, denim is definitely a staple of my relaxed outfits!
