Review: The Korres Collection

Best of Korres box set //  Pomegranate moisturiser // Wild Rose CC cream c/o Bath & Unwind

Working with premium online beauty retailer Bath & Unwind, I was introduced to some wonderful new brands, one of my favourites being Korres. This Greek brand was established in 1996 by a husband and wife team who sought to develop a range of skincare based on traditional Greek remedies. The resulting brand has gone from strength to strength and whilst still a relative newcomer to the market, has carved out a niche as a cult brand with a strong following.

I have already posted here and here about a couple of the products that I have tried (and loved) and when I was lucky enough to have some points to spend on the Bath & Unwind website, it made sense that I would invest further in this brand that I have so enjoyed using. Rather than pick one or two products, I decided to try one of their specially curated 'kits' which contains a selection of favoured products.

There are a couple of kits to choose from but I decided on the 'Best of Korres' collection. This five piece kit comprises some of the bestsellers and most loved products from the range, and are a great introduction to the brand; something like this would also make a great gift as it's beautifully packaged and has a lovely selection of products to try, or would also be really useful for travelling.

Inside the box, there was a choice of cleansers, moisturisers, shower gel and even a brightening mask! There were products from across the different scent ranges and with different active ingredients so you really do get a good variation of products to try; especially good if you are new to the brand and want to use the kit as an overview before committing to a full sized purchase.

For the face, there were several products; White Tea fluid gel cleanser, Wild Rose 24 hour moisturiser, and Wild Rose instant brightening mask. I've already been introduced to the Wild Rose range via the CC cream I've tried and you can read more on that here, so I knew I'd love the other products, and the moisturiser is just lovely. Slightly heavier than the Pomegranate one that I talked about here, this is a softening and quickly absorbed product that is perfect to soothe autumn-frazzled skin. The brightening mask is another great product, drawing on the properties in the rose to deliver a skin-softening and brightening treat.

I'd not tried anything from the White Tea range before but I was impressed with the lightness of the cleanser, which left my skin feeling clean but not stripped. The light fragrance wasn't overpowering and the gel was easy to apply and remove.

For the body, there is a Basil Lemon shower gel and a Guava body butter. As you can imagine both of these smell amazing, the earthy depth of the basil in the shower gel tempered by the sharpness of the lemon to invigorate the skin. The Guava body butter is as luxuriant as you would expect and contains all the right properties for softening and soothing the skin.

The kit is currently on offer on the Bath & Unwind website for just £10, almost half it's retail price, so definitely worth picking up. I would highly recommend it as there is such a great selection of products inside and for the price it's a great introduction to premium body and skincare. I am really enjoying using the range and will definitely be buying from Korres again!
