Jumpsuit Topshop Boutique (here) Whistles gilet (here) Whistles boots (similar here

When I had pretty much decided what I wanted in my autumn capsule wardrobe, I started to think about ways in which I could make the pieces work harder within the wardrobe. I thought a good way to do this would be to get some outfit inspiration and learn a bit of photoshop skill at the same time, so I have put together a few flay-lay looks that I can refer to if I am feeling uninspired.

The first one was a simple everyday look that I could wear for work or tailor to be more casual for downtime. This Topshop Boutique jumpsuit is such a nice statement piece, and it works really well with an ankle boot thanks to the cropped length. I like the smart/casual element it has and I think this will be a really hard working item in my wardrobe. I only bought two pieces for the Autumn capsule and I'll be talking about those in detail soon, but this was one of them and I think it's a good pick.

The faux fur gilet is a staple of mine and since re-discovering it and including it in this capsule, it's become integral. This one wasn't cheap but it was a worthy investment, but they are quite a popular style still so you can pick them up more inexpensively on the high street too.

A black ankle boot is a must have for autumn, and this chelsea boot style from Whistles is just one of the two pairs I have in this capsule. I struggle to find ankle boots to fit my feet nicely but these ones do, and they have a slight block heel which makes them comfortable and easy to wear. I love them! To make the outfit more casual I could swap  the gilet and boots out for my leopard print coat and black loafers, or to take it the other way I could dress it up with my Marni jacket and dress heels.
