I am really loving wearing monochrome at the moment, either just block black and white, for a really chic look, or a mixture of printed and/or boucle fabrics and textures to add a bit of interest. When I clapped my eyes on the latest offerings from -wait for it- Marks & Spencer (!) I could hardly believe what I was seeing. The Autograph collection has hit down with aplomb this season and I pretty much want all of it! Selected pieces have already been revered as Vogue magazine 'picks' and these certainly won't hang around for long, those pointed wedged boots for starters, as well as that beautiful speckle print tote.
I have already earmarked that checked jumper for a payday purchase treat, I think it would look lovely not just with black trousers but also with skinny blue jeans and ballet pumps for a rather Parisian look (so obvious!) I also really like the black trimming which keeps the print in check (mind the pun!)
Ankle skimming black trousers are definitely a staple in my wardrobe, and an oversized, statement coat is the only one you'll be needing this winter. For a touch of fun, this snakeskin peaked hat is the perfect accessory. I love the whole collection and will definitely be investing in a couple of pieces!
