Last night I along with several other lovely bloggers from the South West were lucky enough to attend the Harvey Nichols SS13 fashion show, held in the Bristol museum. The evening began with a champagne reception although unfortunately in the scrum to get a decent seat we seemed to forgo any refreshments! I sat with the lovely Milly and met some new blogging pals Gemma and Dulcie. Sadly the lighting played havoc with my camera so I got hardly any decent shots, which was a shame, though I did get snapped by Gina of South West Bloggers; photo credit to her for the shot of me!
The whole feel of the show was upbeat and quite intense. We were led through the key looks of the season including Metallics, Monochrome, Colour pops vs White, Mixed Prints, and a finale of Fantasy Frocks featuring pieces by designers such as Givenchy, Acne, Jimmy Choo, Raoul, Erdem and many more. What really stood out to me was the simplicity of the styling; no matter what the theme of the look the models looked clean and uncluttered, showing off key pieces to their full potential with elegant and minimal accessories and fishtail braids which pulled the hair away from the face to allow a statement lip to shine through.
I had a really lovely time and it's always a pleasure to meet up with my blogging friends, so that was an added bonus!
