Phase Eight AW12

It's rare that I come across a fashion collection which seems so right on the money for the season ahead, but looking through some of the gorgeous pieces that make up the Phase Eight Autumn/Winter '12 collection, I could easily make their looks my go-to wardrobe for the months ahead. Combining a wonderful mix of high fashion, English eccentricity, wonderful prints and key accessories, the looks are sure to floor you.

Phase Eight began its journey with a single store in Wandsworth, South London, in 1979. It has blossomed over the years to provide women all over the country (and with the advent of online shopping, women all over Europe too!) with sophisticated clothing shapes played back to luxury fabrics which lend elegance and style to the wearer. Priced at a slightly 'higher end high street' point; these products are investment pieces which won't date and can be styled down for daywear or made to look showstopping should the occasion arise.

The collection this season sees the rise of the darker floral prints which made waves on the seasonal catwalk circuit. Form fitting dresses can be teamed with elegant jackets in lace and crepe or they can be worn in a more quirky way with the addition of embellished space-dye sweaters in complementing colours.

Fashion and style come together in this collection to showcase pieces which are trend led but by no means slavishly stapled to one season. Dark floral printed peplum tops are a key piece for the months ahead but their delicate shape will remain a perrenial for years to come. A blue lace fitted pencil skirt could easily be seen worn by a certain Duchess of Cambridge and will effortlessly wend its way into your wardrobe.

Phase Eight have also been hard at work on their jewellery collection this season too. Costume pieces to really lend a wow factor to a simple top or look have filtered through in abundance, with the layered tribal collar necklace being a particular favourite of mine. With prices starting from £15 you're sure to find something to suit your look and budget.

I am really impressed with this seasons offerings from Phase Eight. Despite my adoration for thrift, when I do buy products from the high street I would rather spend a little more money on a piece that provides me with quality and longevity for my cash. Phase Eight have delivered both these stipulations and more. The only thing I will struggle with now is deciding what to buy!

The entire collection and more can be shopped at Phase Eight online here.
