I began blogging in 2009 and I never ever thought that I would EVER attract the level of interest in my lil old blog that it has. I remember hitting the dizzy heights of 10 followers and feeling that I'd made it! I know sometimes blogging can seem a bit of a popularity contest-it's more, in some cases, about all the amazing things you have and how skinny and pretty you look in your outfit posts, how many "likes" you have on Lookbook, etc, and whilst I don't ever deny anyone that, it's never been my cup of tea. I'm not even that stylish for a fashion blogger, and certainly don't have the looks or figures of many of the other girls on this circuit. But we all share a love of fashion and a love for sharing that love! When I founded Credit Crunch Chic it was to highlight that you don't have to have pots of money to look great. I am a wholehearted supporter of charity shopping, thrifting, and hanging out for the sales; hell, I've written post after post on these topics, and have loved reading all your comments regarding your best charity shop finds, or designer steals. I love high end lables but can't kid myself that I can afford them; I see no shame in heading into Harvey Nicks just to peruse the sale selection, having a dig around in TK Maxx or signing up to "secret sales" websites to bag a bargain. My Dior saddlebag, my first ever eBay purchase, which was snaffled for the grand price of £27, is probably the favourite thing I've ever bought and as much because it's Dior as it was a total bargain.
So you can imagine how lucky and happy I felt to hit the 500 follower mark! I just want to say the biggest thank you to everyone who has supported my blog, and taken the time to read and comment on what I write. I've not only found a whole new source of inspiration within the blogs I follow (and I'm finding new ones all the time!) but I have made a load of new friends too. Which is so much more than I ever expected, so thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I have only put together a little giveaway because I wasn't sure what to go for! But you'll get a little goody bag containing all of the above! There is:
A "fabulous" logo necklace from Topshop
A black sequin bow brooch from Topshop
A Burts Bees hand salve
A Barry M crackle effect nail polish
A "chic" huge logo brooch
A Topshop heart ring
I hope you like all the items! It's a glam "black & gold" giveaway! It was hard to choose items that I thought would have universal appeal but hopefully whoever wins will be chuffed with their prize!
All you have to do to enter is to "like" Credit Crunch Chic on Facebook, which you can do by clicking here and liking the page. Once you've done that, leave me a comment saying you've done so! If you have already liked the page, just pop down a comment saying so and I will add you into the draw.
You have one week! I will draw the winner next Saturday!
Good luck and thankyou again everyone!
