There's just something so accessable about a basic boot. No frills, guaranteed; but simple shapes, colours and styles-block heels, glossy leather, buffed suede, a chunky platform, a bit of texture-those are a few of my favourite things.
The Castaner brand is one that I hadn't heard of much before I discovered Spartoo, but now I can't get enough of the luxe materials the brand is renowned for. The basic shapes of the boots above-that beautiful soft black suede number which will just work with everything in my wardrobe, and those lovely chestnut brown shoeboots with the sweet laceup details which nod to the heritage trend of AW.
I also hadn't much heard of the brand Marian before I discovered Spartoo; but look at these rhinestone encrusted beauties, and imagine them worn with a pair of skinny leather pants...yum! I love the overlasted platform detail and the block heel-just perfect!
The block heeled lovelies from supercool brand Ash caught my eye as the styling reminded me of the much-copied Acne Pistol boots. The Ash pair aren't an obvious copy but touch on the western look with the tassle zip pull and cowboy styled uppers-the perfect boot for a bit of downtime!
