Take a Ride...

When the lovely Jo from the Pied a Terre press office contacted me recently it was the perfect excuse to check out the latest drops on their site. She had sent me a press release regarding their new selection of riding style boots which, whilst keeping our toes warm and dry, have also been essential safety footwear in this slippy weather! I have recently come back from a holiday to Paris and every chic-ly dressed French woman I saw was rocking a glossy pair of riding style boots, either poking out below a long, swishy camel coloured coat or sleeky encasing a pair of skinny jean-clad legs. I decided there and then that I needed a pair in my life! But it has been impossible to find a pair anywhere, everything I've tried has just somehow felt 'wrong'. That was, until, I had a good look at the Pied a Terre website and spotted these:

This is the PORTER in black leather. The boots are knee length with a flat heel and gorgeous studding detail to the back of the heel and the top of the foot. They cost £175 and will just keep going on forever-a contemporary update on a classic and gorgeous boot. A definite investment!

I was also extremely attracted to these lovelies-the PARK in black (they also come in taupe.) These are not only bang on trend with the shearling lining (the tops can be rolled down to show it off), they are also super super warm! They cost £225 and are worth every penny.

The Pied a Terre website is so easy to shop-the layout is fresh and easy to navigate, plus there are options to look at the latest trends, new in for men and women, and even a sale section! You can check it all out for yourself here

So whilst I was mainly looking at the riding style boots on the site, I of course became distracted with all the lovely shoes to look at! I found these gorgeous things which would make a perfect all round day boot, they would work with jeans, skirts, pegged trousers...the list is endless. They cost just £82.50 and are called ONWIN. The stud detail adds a rocky edge and the dark charcoal uppers look luxe and expensive. And just check out the heel! A block heel is definitely the way forward on a pair of tough boots, and these ones are designed perfectly, almost with me in mind I'd say!

...but saying that, I am also completely craving these beauties! there's so much to choose from, I would end up buying several pairs I think! These are the adorable OLDENBURG boots which cost £165. I would wear these with a ditsy dress and my shearling aviator for a vintage-y, rocky, girlie look. Or I would wear them with a sack dress, faux fur hat, and chunky snood, with slouchy socks poking out of the tops for a cute wintery look.

I couldn't help also checking out the other stock on the website which was when I found these incredible shoeboots. These hiking/desert boot hybrids are achingly hip and so transseasonal, wear them now with tights and a leather shift for a city click look or cuff you boyfriend jeans and wear them in the summer with a little blouse. Oh I want them! They are style ATAY and come in black, costing £130.

Last but not least, I thought I also better include a decent party shoe! And they don't come much better than this. Forget sequins, glitter and feathers and let your outfit do the talking by keeping your footwear simple. These stunning slingbacks will be the hardest working pair of shoes in your wardrobe, coming in supple black leather with the trendiest toe shape around-the soft point. They are called CHESTON and cost £120.

Pied a Terre never fail me for fabulous shoes, and I know that I can expect the highest quality and best craftmanship in exchange for my hard earned cash. And isn't that what everyone wants? Gorgeous and affordable footwear that is comfortable and lasts. What more could we possibly want for Christmas? (except maybe all 6 pairs, no?!)
xoxo
