Colour Pops On Days Off.....

Today has been a really good day! I woke up at Ratbag Towers and then had to get up early to take the boy to college, which was ace because it meant I could have a look at his classes illustration exhibition (amazing.) So after that I came home but then went out again to meet some friends who I haven't seen for ages, the very fashionable Law (looking hawt with newly-brunette hair and very on-trend with an amazing Versace pouch bag) and the lovely Amy, who is my failsafe hairdresser-the girl knows her way round a pair of scissors. She bought her adorable baby son Seb along too and we had a lovely lunch together. Prior to this, I hit up the local charity shops and blagged some booty......
Yes! 2 pairs of boots (one vintage Timberlands, one rather kicky desert-style suede numbers, which I predict will look tasty with harems and dresses alike) a very cute leather belt with dog-stud detail, and a rather nice leather flapover clutch, all for under a tenner. Thats why I love charity shops...the best kit, at the best prices! I also found a very on trend vintage faux-fur waistcoat for £2 which I plan to wear over my leather jacket...it missed the photocall as it has been bundled into the washing machine as I want to wear it as soon as possible!

For my look today I went for a smart/casual style which is appropriate for meeting friends/stomping charity shops as it is comfy and cool. I wore a few rings today but I stacked them on one finger for a different look.

Sleeveless Blazer: Topshop, Cardigan, Topshop, T Shirt: Stella McCartney, Silk Harems: Warehouse, Belt: Gift, Shoeboots: ASOS, Rings: Primark.

My mustard bag is Chloe and I love the colour pop against the darker outfit.

Also I am wearing my Missoni glasses. I plan to change the buttons on the sleeveless blazer as for some reason it just has really naff clear plastic one on it at the moment. I'm hoping to find some military-inspired ones to update this piece for the new season.

The picture at the very top is my snazzy new laptop case. It is pretty big and more like a day bag, it has lots of pockets and is buttery soft leather. It was £35 reduced from £80 at a local shopping outlet-I like it because it reminds me a bit of the Mulberry Alexa...and I'll never be able to afford one of those, so this will have to do!

Love your blazer! It's a really chic idea to update it withmilitary style buttons! Just be careful that they're nice ones andnot cheap plastic ones or you'll end up looking like cheryl cole! There's a store near me that sells vintage buttons perhaps that's the best way!!! The hole look is just stunning btw!

Thanks for your lovely comments! I'm going to try and change the blazer buttons today, I've found some nice vintage ones to use! Thanks for the advice Tomorrow! Zanah, the breifbag is by a designer called Luca Bocelli, I bought it from my local shopping outlet centre. It's so soft and I think will just get better with age! And obviously perfect for carrying my netbook so I can blog on the go! And thank you Style of a Fashionista-I'll let you see all my new gorgeous buys soon I'm sure! xoxo
