Woodland Walks

Wearing: Vintage top (similar here) // Warehouse skirt (similar here) // Vintage glasses (similar here) // Betty London flatforms (here)

The first hint of summer arrived a couple of weeks ago with a mini heatwave and it was such a relief to get out of the grey, dreary wintery weather which seemed as if it would never leave! It felt so nice to not have to wear tights and ankle boots with everything but it did seem that the seasons flipped from one to the next - literally wearing jumpers one day and a cami top the next. I was a bit unsure what to wear to begin with - in the depths of winter you can't ever imagine not wearing a jumper again - but I ended up with a classic combo; vintage top and this Warehouse button down skirt which I bought last year. I've actually got this in two colours, black and tan, because they are so easy to wear, really comfortable, and make a great base for a summer look that isn't too floaty!

Another winner from last year which I've got out for another season are these flatforms from Betty London at Spartoo. I love the shape of these; they're so flattering on the leg and also extremely comfortable (I hate uncomfortable shoes!) and seem to go with everything. The espadrille styling is such a summery choice and instantly lifts the darker colours I'm wearing. I am trying to wear a few different colours than just black, tan, and navy and even though khaki isn't a very summery choice, it's a start!

Now, I'm off to head back outside and enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday sunshine!

XO Amie
