Winter Dressing

Wearing: Abstract boots c/o Duo Boots // Primark scarf // Topshop blouse // Urban Outfitters jacket // New Look jeans

It was when I was shooting this look that I realised I didn't have any jeans that didn't have rips or frayed hems. I love a good ripped knee/raw hem of course, but when you want to wear ankle boots, it's nice to have a smooth line to tuck into them. It's also really hard to find nice jeans that are just plain, with no rips, whiskering, fraying or other decoration!

Speaking of ankle boots, how lovely are this pair, kindly sent to me by Duo Boots. They are so beatifully made, and the heel is higher than I would normally wear but they are incredibly comfortable all the same. Leopard print is, as I always say, a neutral, and I'm wearing it here with another two prints (gingham and tartan) which might be a bit of overkill but I feel like it works!

I shot these pictures the other week but it's since got a lot colder so I think thin cotton blouses are definitely out of the windown now...it's all about the knitwear! My leather jacket has also been hung up for the season in place of a wool coat now too. It's as if winter has just arrived overnight, althought it's been lovely to have crispy, sunny mornings rather than damp, dreary weather!
