Straight to Summer

Wearing: Gap straw hat (ancient, similar here) Topshop bag (here) ASOS gladiator sandals (similar here) Weekday t shirt (similar here) vintage sunglasses (similar here) Warehouse skirt (similar here)

How lovely was the weather this weekend? It felt like summer and I cracked out my pasty pins for the first time this year. It wasn't quite denim short weather, although I did see lots of people braving them! I was really keen to wear this skirt which I got recently from Warehouse. It was reduced in the sale from £89 to £20 and I've been looking for a suede midi for yonks so I snapped it up. Suede seems a weird fabric for warmer weather but I think it works, with a gladiator sandal and a white tee; I would also wear it with tights and boots in the colder months.

Initially I was going to pair this look with a leopard print bag but it all looked a bit safari, so this powder blue number from Topshop made the perfect mismatch. The white tee shirt keeps it informal and this one is the ultimate - I only have a couple of white t shirts and despite them being a wardrobe staple, I think if you find one that you feel fabulous in and that looks fantastic, you don't need to keep buying them. Prior to getting this one I had a Whistles one which I wore pretty constantly for about 5 years, and when it finally fell apart I picked up this one which is by Weekday at ASOS.

My sandals are another ASOS buy but I picked them up towards the end of last year and have been waiting to wear them. They have sold out but these ones are really similar.
