D.E.W. & a Brew in Bristol

whiskey & beer c/o Tullamore D.E.W.

I love a drop of whiskey, so when Tullamore D.E.W got in touch to tell me about their new signature serve, D.E.W. & a Brew, coming to Bristol, I was obviously keen to find out more! Tullamore D.E.W is the original triple distilled, triple blend Irish whiskey, consisting of three types of whiskey - Single Malt, Grain, and Pot Still. Whilst I wouldn't put whiskey and beer together, apparently they are perfect table mates!

Whiskey and beer have been made together in Ireland since monks distilled their table beer to make the liquor. Just in time for St Patricks Day, this D.E.W (Daniel E. Williams, employed by the Daly family to make whiskey at Tullamore) whiskey is perfect to serve with it's 'malt cousin.' The sweetness of the whiskey is tempered by the bitterness of the beer and the two are often enjoyed together in Ireland.

Tullamore D.E.W. is the world's second largest irish whiskey brand and is marked out by its smooth flavour and sweet softness. This award winning whiskey makes up the D.E.W. & a Brew serve across Bristol, coming to venues such as Steam, the Tobacco Factory, North Street Standard, Ashton Gate and Butcome Brewery pubs.

In celebration of St Particks Day, Steam will be hosting a special St Patricks Day party on March 18 from 7pm. Expect great whiskey (naturally) cocktails, live music, a photo booth and a barber service. The event is 1920's themed and promises to be an evening full of fun. If you are in Bristol, you can purchase tickets for the event here.
