Yull Scarborough Mayfair Primrose
Despite the chilly weather of late, I am definitely looking forward to spring and with it the influx of colour that it brings. I rarely wear colour as regular readers will attest, but there's something so feminine and new-season about these candy coloured shoes that I just had to post them.
Besides, just because I don't wear a lot of colour doesn't mean I can't introduce it to a look, and an easy way to do that is via an accessory. I can already think of a couple of vintage dresses I have that these shoes would instantly modernise, and I could easily see those super cute block heeled sandals bringing a more feminine edge to my favourite ripped girlfriend jeans.
Yull shoes are a brand that I have supported since way back in 2011 when Sarah, the namesake, designer and CEO behind the brand, put together a small lookbook of chic and elegant styles that had been made in the UK. Testament to her design work, several of those styles are still in production and remain as contemporary now as they did 5 years ago. Based on the classic court shoe shape, this elegant style will be perfect for days at the races, summer weddings and garden parties. Likewise Primrose, a classic Yull design with almond toe and chunky heel, is brought up to date with a shattered leather effect upper giving a modern geometric feel.
