Zuzka Natural Beauty

I took part in the Blogger's Hub Twitter Party a few weeks back and one of the brands I discovered through the link share was a beauty company named Zuzka. Offering fresh and natural cosmetics and skincare, made by hand from organic herbs and flowers, I was keen to find out more.

Developed by Susan Kohutova, Zuzka offers a range of products formulated by Susan herself, a Beauty Specialist and Registered Medical Herbalist. With over 20 years experience in her field, Susan has created a niche range of products perfectly suited to skins that can be sensitive, or suffer from allergies. Free from skin irritating contents and utilising the healing powers of herbs, plants and flowers, the result is a natural beauty product which offers only the best for your skin and is tailored to specific skin issues.

Susan kindly sent me two products from the Botanicals range to try out; Rose Petal Facial Spritz and Rose Petal Cleansing Milk. I adore the scent of rose anyway, and these products provide that wonderful fragrance in it's purest form. They both smell of roses; but not a cloying or false scent, they are both light and fresh and this is one of the first things that you notice on opening the products. The claim is that they smell like freshly picked roses, and they really do!

The facial spritz is a wonderfully light spray which feels soothing and calming on the skin. It not only contains rosewater, but also frankincense and comfrey leaf, which adds a luxurious and indulgent feel. Spraying onto the skin after cleansing helps to close pores and refresh the skin, rosewater is something I have used for years as a toner as it is so gentle and doesn't have the astringent feel of alcohol, and this prevents the skin from feeling dry or tight. It is especially suited to sensitive skin, which I do suffer from, and also for mature skins too. The product costs £18 for 150ml.

The cleansing milk is also a gorgeous product. It is non greasy, quickly absorbed and also removes makeup as well as cleansing the skin of dead cells and grime; it would probably be the most decadent makeup remover I've ever tried! The texture of the cleanser is very lightweight and silky, and it leaves skin feeling soft and soothed. It also contains geranium and rose hip oil in addition to it's key rose ingredient, and again, smells absolutely amazing! 150ml of product comes in at £20 which really is fantastic value for money, too.

The Zuzka range of products are well worth checking out, especially if you are interested in boutique skincare which harnesses the natural power of plants and flowers. You can shop the full range here, which includes makeup and also a men's range, which would be perfect for a Valentines gift!
