Wearing: Vintage cardigan and t shirt ASOS trousers Kaia Brogues c/o Fashion Union
Of course, regular readers of my blog will know all about my love for a flat shoe, especially a brogue variation, so when Fashion Union kindly got in touch and asked if I'd like to style some items from their website, of course I headed to the 'flats' section immediately!
Fashion Union is an online fashion brand that is both trend-led and affordable. They have some amazing pieces on the site, from glamorous faux fur jackets to boiled-wool boyfriend coats, the most beautiful over the knee boots to classic brogues, and everything in between. It really is an online wardrobe and definitely worth checking out!
I absolutely love these Kaia brogues which come in black as well as burgundy; I thought that as I wear so much black and grey it would be a nice change to try out a bit of colour, and these brogues definitely provide that. They are patent with a really thick sole which makes them a little more contemporary and quite androgynous. I love this look and I knew I wanted to wear them with black trousers and skinnies, I have gone for my favourite ASOS crepe granny trousers here but I have also tried them with jeans and they work really well with them too.
The tee shirt is (I think) from Topshop by way of a charity shop; it's ancient but ever so soft and adds a bit of fun to this look. The cardigan/coatigan is a vintage piece that I picked up in a charity shop too, it's very warm and I love the texture of it and the fit.
I really like this look and I can't wait to try out these flats with other looks, I am thinking maybe dresses or skirts but I have a feeling that these are just going to be a pair of shoes that will work with everything I have, and that's always a good thing!
