Ren Skincare Review

Ren Satin Perfection BB Cream // V-cense Night Cream // Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial all c/o M&S

When I attended the M&S Christmas event a couple of weeks ago, they kindly gave me a goodie bag with some amazing things in it, one of which was a small selection of Ren products. For those who don't know, Ren is a skincare brand that prides itself on making your skin look younger, healthier, and more beautiful. Always a winner in my book!

The brand goes on to sum up its philosophy in three words; Performance, Purity and Pleasure. They say about these key qualities:

Performance:
"REN gives you groundbreaking product formulation, the latest hi-tech actives, rigorous product testing and clinically proven results."

Purity:
"REN uses only 100% plant and mineral derived actives and is free from skin-unfriendly synthetic ingredients."

Pleasure:
"We believe that the texture, fragrance and experience of using REN can make the world a slightly nicer place to be and make us feel slightly nicer being here."

With this in mind, I was keen to try the products! The Flash Rinse facial is a full sized sample and it is a product to be used every three days. You simply massage it in and rinse and it promises to firm, tone and smooth skin. I loved the scent of this, as I did with all the Ren products. This one contains water activated vitamin C and it has a citrusy, orange scent. You massage it into dry skin, and then dampen your fingertips and repeat, leaving for 1 minute before rinsing. It really does leave skin super soft and smoothed, taking all of the rubbish out of your pores.

The Satin Perfection BB cream was always going to be a favourite because I love using BB creams, I tend to use them more during the summer months but I wanted to try this out and I really like the texture and coverage, which is sheer but still great for evening the skintone. The colour out of the tube is a little orange but this doesn't translate on to the skin; it's the shade light/medium which I would have said would be too dark for me but actually works really well. It has adaptive technology which means it works to colour match to your face and I find this works well for me. At £26 it isn't cheap, even slightly more expensive than my favourite Dr Jaart BB cream, but it is a lovely product and definitely one I would consider for the summer time.

The product I have used the most is the V-Cense Revitalising night cream. This cream is absolutely fantastic; it leaves my skin so hydrated and feeling moisturised without any greasiness. I apply it every night and I love everything about it; it has little scent until you start to massage it in to the skin and then it has a wonderful peppery smell which works well with the decadent texture of the product. I have almost completely used it up and I am definitely putting it on the Christmas list; it's lovely!
