I love a black sandal. They are easy to wear, work with everything, and black looks amazing with a tan. But trends for summer dictate that metallics are always in fashion, and what better way to introduce them than on an accessory?

I tend to look at metallics as if they were another neutral. I do this with leopard print too; but it is true that silver and gold really will work with most colours. Like black, metallics are surprisingly easy to wear and inherently more summery. 

Betty London at Spartoo have done the legwork on these everyday heeled sandals, which come in several different shades. I love the black pair for everyday (I've already blogged about them here) and these gold ones look perfect paired with the tan leather ankle strap. They would look equally amazing with skinny jeans or a flippy dress for perfect summertime style. 

These also come in a pewter shade complimented with a black ankle strap, which definitely have more of an eveningwear vibe to them; a lower block heel is easily translated to night time with a pair of cute shorts or a pretty dress.

I wear a block heel quite frequently because it is the perfect all day, everyday height. You still feel a little more dressy in a heel, I find, and these don't compromise style with practicality which is usually a paradox in footwear! They are also more comfortable than a complete flat shoe; which can sometimes be a little hard to walk in.
