I don't own a white jumper, odd though that is to believe. I have a cream one, but no white; I suppose I always assumed white would be too high maintenance/difficult to wear, of which this jumper is (surprisingly) neither. I Instagrammed the SS14 Damart lookbook a few weeks ago and they kindly sent over an item for me to style. I've worked with Damart before and I think the brand definitely appeals to a broad demographic; I think they've worked hard to bring more trend led pieces into their collections whilst continuing to cater for their core market which I think is very commendable, and not an easy thing to do.

Anyway, the jumper! It's a cute waffly knit piece which is made of a cotton fabrication (so no bobbles) and I really like the cut; slightly boxy with a slash neck and my favourite bracelet length sleeves. I just half tucked it into my jeans to prevent it looking too long on me and I love it. I've worn it a lot since I got my hands on it and I think it is going to be the perfect 'summer evening' jumper to just throw on when I feel the chill (which will be often as a) I am a person that's always cold and b) this is England!)

I'm mixing up the 'fashion rules' a little here by wearing an ivory vintage blouse underneath the jumper-I distinctly remember going shopping with a friend years ago and her mum being aghast at her wanting to mix white and cream. It's not a colour combo I would generally think of wearing but my blouse was hanging next to the jumper on my clothes rail so I thought I'd try it. I love layering similar shades of the same colour story and this works quite well. I like it, anyway!

Another fashion rule getting short shrift is that of wearing black and brown. Black jeans; brown boots: #sorrynotsorry. I also added this black handbag which used to belong to my friend Carla who now lives in Australia. I think it's so cool with the gold chain and just brings another element to this look. So thanks Carla!
