South West Blogger's Christmas Party

Wearing: Vintage blouse, Zara knit and Topshop wool skirt, photo c/o Kim

Last Sunday saw a whole hoard of fabulous bloggers descend on my city to meet up, so you can imagine I was keen to join them! I have attended a couple of blogging events this year, and once you get past the weirdness of meeting a load of people you fangirl over the internet, it's really quite fun. In Tara's words, kind of like internet dating. But with fashion!

I was so pleased to see my fave girls at the event, which was held in the Bristol venue The Birdcage, which is a cute vintage inspired cafe/shop, and immediately made a beeline for Tara, Kelly, Laura, Kim and Emily.
I saw loads of other bloggers whose blogs I read and I wish I had networked a little more but I am not very good at that so I stayed with my own group, which I hope didn't come across as rude, but I am quite a shy person so apologies if anyone thought so!

The day kicked off with a present from under the tree and a hefty slice of cake together with a cup of tea-delish! I couldn't wait to rip open my present and was thrilled to find some tights (hadn't I been going on about how I needed some new ones!) c/o Tights Please, a "No Tangle" brush from Macadamia Oil and also some Macadamia Oil hair products.  We were then split into teams to take part in a quiz which, I'll be honest, we weren't very good at but actually it was nice because being put into teams meant I met up with some lovely girls who I probably wouldn't have otherwise, like Sarah Lou and Rosie.

The day was rounded off with some bands who played and a good gossip with my fave ladies. Thankyou to Gina and Lyzi for putting the day together, I know they put so much effort in and it really showed.

I like the idea of a blog event where you're all mixed up. I've been to a couple of things and, while shy isn't a word people tend to associate with me, they can be terrifying when you don't know m/any folk!

I was in your team too and I'm also quite shy so I found it hard to just mingle with people, especially as everyone seemed to know so many others! Look forward to seeing you again soon and hopefully speaking more :) x
