October's Glossybox

Contents of October's GlossyBox

Today saw the arrival of my October GlossyBox. I thought I'd better get on and post about it since It took me about 3 weeks to pull together a review of Septembers box! I have to begin by saying I was really impressed by this box; it's definitely one of the better ones I've received and I'll go on to tell you why!

The theme of this month's box was "DIY Beauty" and this is definitely something that is of interest to me. I'm notoriously lazy when it comes to 'making' your own beauty products but I've always thought that it would be a really fun (and cheap!) way of pampering yourself. However, I don't get my eyebrows professionally waxed any more, saving money by plucking myself (now that I have a decent shape) and I am always doing DIY manicures and pedicures to save money.

This glut of do it yourself products from my GlossyBox this month will certainly keep me busy. I particularly liked the body scrub by Anatomicals, especially since I have been thinking about buying one anyway. The product size was 75ml but according to my contents card, the 200ml size is only £3.49 so that's definitely one to think about, should I get on with it.

The Olay Regenerist sample was, for me, the wooden spoon of this box because I've been sent samples like this before from Olay directly so it's nothing new. However it's always useful to have skin cream in my kit so this will definitely be used because I know it works!

The Skinetica anti-blemish looks interesting but I am nervous to try this as I have sensitive skin and this smells very alcohol-y. However I'll definitely try it, though I'll proceed with caution!

The BB cream by Dr. Jart is a product I've kind of heard of in various circles but never actually tried. I like the fact that this BB cream has an spf 40 but I don't know whether the coverage will be good enough to support my skin, I'll certainly use it and see, though!

My favourite product by a mile was this Yves Rocher lipstick. I initially wrote it off because I didn't think it looked very attractive; the packaging is quite plain but get past that and it's the perfect plummy mauve shade-a colour I really wanted to try but I didn't want to invest in an expensive lippy only to not like the colour! So I was so pleased to get my hands on this one.

Overall, a great box and I am off to have a play with some of the contents!

Did you get a Glossybox this month? What did you get in yours?

XO Amie

I got exactly the same as you except my lipstick is a bright red that I will never use. Not overwhelmed by the box but not disappointed either.
