Little Boots

Jacket, Dress: Vintage
Spiked bracelet: via OASAP
Boots: Pieces

Oh little boots, (not the singer) how you elude me! I love, love, love the look of skinny jeans with a little pair of flat boots, but somehow when I try to wear this style I look all stumpy and weird. I have this cute little leather pair from Pieces and I hardly ever wear them, despite them being mega comfortable and really quite sweet-they have the look of the Acne Pistol boot about them, just minus the heel, I think. I like the little tassle and the fact that the zip is on the outside of the boot, and I love the almond shaped toe and the soft leather. I just have no idea how to wear them. I gave them a whirl with my second favourite midi dress, which was a little chancy of me as usually a midi demands a heel-they are ever so stumpefying in themselves. However I didn't too much mind the overall look, I find it odd looking at myself in a flat, and I think a lot of fashion bloggers would concur that the blogosphere loves a heel. But you know, I wanted to show how I normally dress, and I wouldn't wear honking great heels to walk to the shop, whereas I would wear these. I think they lend a kind of dressed down edge to the dress and blazer which is quite smart. I am adding another dose of quirk with the spiked bracelet from Oasap which is the easiest way to add an edge to any look. Soz, my blinking snood is the feature item of my outfit posts of late-I'll try and bin it off for the rest of the week. No promises mind!
